What is hacking ?

The purpose for all of us being here is to learn Hacking.
So, what is hacking ?

There may be many different and interesting answers to this question.
Here, we'll try to see hacking from point of view of people in different mindsets.

For the rest of the world :

Anyone who is related to internet or who use some kind of electronic device has a perception that hacking is bad. They think that hackers are next to criminals who steal identities, do frauds, and may also force you to do something dangerous.
This is created by those who learn hacking with a bad intention and do things which harm people and big organisations too, they use the tools and skills for their own malicious purposes and benefit.

For a Hacker : 

For someone who is technology loving and who always want to break into the security of new gadgets and devices, hacking is a boon which opens new possibilities with new technologies. Hackers always want to do something different with the technology than for what it is provided. They seek new ways to do things like accessing stuff for free which is private and for only the premium users. They always want to help, all the cracked software and operating systems are given to us by hackers.
According to hackers, a hacker is someone who acquires deep knowledge of a technology & programming and is loaded with skills and tools to do something creative with it.

Let's categorize hackers : 

We know that hacking is powerful, and powerful things must be handled with care. If not done so, it may harm us and others around us. There are many kind of hackers, let's know about some of them :

1. White Hat Hackers : As the good old saying goes "With great power comes great responsibility", these hackers are the good guys in security industry. They do it to help people and mostly organisations to help PenTest their software and websites. They also teach hacking to others to make them aware of it's dangers and good side. 

2. Black Hat Hackers : This world is full of people who learn different skills to con others and fill their own pockets. Black Hat hackers are one of those, they use their skills for bad intentions and create trouble for everyone. Cerber-ransomeware is one of their creations, hackers created it to fill their bank accounts and trouble people with clickbaits and trojans.

3. Gray Hat hackers :  We don't only have the good and the bad ones but there are the hackers who fall in between. These are the ones covering most of the community. They hold good knowledge and want to learn more, they mostly go with the fun stuff and may harm others for fun like defacing website but not altering it's structure, but they will also help if insisted or paid.

4. Script Kiddies : These are the ones who don't want to give much time into learning the reason behind how something is working, they just copy-paste the codes and try random exploits on websites. They leave hacking when it gets tough as they don't have deep knowledge of the technology at hand. They use tools like Metasploit or SQLmap to hack computers and websites to show that they can do more than they really can.
